Our Mission:

To help create a more peaceful world for future generations through cultural education, awareness and random acts of kindness .

What We Did:

Peace Pedalers is a "Worldwide Invitation to Ride". We took two-seat tandem bikes on an around-the-world adventure through 81 countries. But we did iPt a bit differently--We rode on the front seats and left the rear seats open to invite people . We brought extra riding clothes, helmets and camping equipment ready to share with strangers that soon become friends once they made a few pedal strokes on the tandem! Over 1,000 strangers accepted the invitation to ride, proving that language, cultural and religious boundaries can be crossed by anyone, anywhere.

Inviting total strangers we met to share a slice of life and enjoy the cycling experience was our small gesture of peace, trust, acceptance and unconditional love. If they needed some financial assistance we offered to pay their food, accommodation and bus ticket back to their home town for extended tandem adventures. Each day was a mystery--who we would ride with, where we would eat and sleep, and what we would learn about these exciting new cultures.

Live Big. Give Big. Love Big.: As the expedition evolved, so did we. In the end, the core values I took away come down to these six words. It represents an intention for balance and courage to simultaneously live our personal passions, make contributions to our global community and love unconditionally. And we try to do them BIG--that is, the very best we can. This philosophy has led to exciting new grassroots projects. Check em out!

Our Vision: We have a vision that through cultural understanding and by sharing the beautiful truth about how caring, loving and friendly our world really is that we can reduce unnecessary fear and negativity to help foster global collaboration and world peace.

This quotation was the founding principle of the expedition way back in 1999. The changes we want to see in the world is more people living our real dreams while practicing more random acts of kindness, unconditional love, openness, acceptance, trust, sharing, play. So that's what Peace Pedalers BE.

With equipment donations from Panasonic we documented the expedition with professional video, audio and photography equipment to bring the cultures, friendships and magic of Peace Pedalers to millions around the world via various television series and a feature films currently in post production.

Peace Pedalers is NOT a formal 501(c)(3) non-profit but we do appreciate direct donations to help fund various projects to help make the world a better place. We have a fiscal sponsor for tax deductible donations too. Contact us for more information.
